When someone makes sure to buy something that is completely American made, it helps to ensure that 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale are going to support local workers who are working American jobs. By keeping money within the economy, it helps to strengthen it, which is a great way for someone to help demonstrate their love of their country. 

 

This is especially important when it comes to shopping for food. And unlike purchasing electronic products like smartphones or televisions, someone doesn’t need to worry about certain parts of their food being from another country. Chances are that the vast majority of restaurants and grocery stores that market the food items as being completely American are telling the truth and there should be nothing within the food item or dish that was not grown within the country. 

 

Plus, farmers are a big part of the economic system of this country, which means that it is important that all citizens do their best to support American farmers as much as possible. 

Find Ways to Support Military Organizations

Another fantastic idea of how someone can demonstrate their patriotism is for them to find ways of directly supporting soldiers and the organizations that provide resources to them. For example, there are plenty of fundraisers that places often run where they say that all of the proceeds are being donated to some type of charity that works with the U.S. Army. So by donating to these funds, the individual is able to get the joy of knowing that they have given their precious resources to help individuals fight to keep their country and other countries around the world as free as possible. 

 

But if someone is really dedicated to helping support the Army, then they can always do so by donating their time rather than their money. This means signing up to actually serve within the U.S. Army for basic training. However, this is truly the highest form of patriotism and is something that not everyone is going to be able to do or willing to do, which is completely fine as long as they make sure to show off their patriotism in some of the other ways on this list. 

Work to Keep Neighborhoods and the Environment in Good Condition

One of the least patriotic things that a person can do is treat their neighborhood or the environment poorly. This indicates that they don’t care how nice their country is, which is something that would bring a tear to the eye of any soldier. 

 

They put their life on the line in order to help ensure that the U.S. is always going to be a beautiful place that is inspirational to others rather than something that looks like a giant trash heap. That’s why someone who wants to be as patriotic as possible should always ensure that they never purposefully litter or vandalize their surroundings. 

 

In fact, they should even take it one step further and ensure that they are living as eco-friendly as possible in order to help lower pollution and keep the environment in their country as healthy as possible.

Visit Current Soldiers and Veterans

If someone wants to go straight to the source with their patriotism, then they should try and spend time with current soldiers or individuals who have served in the past. This can be done in a few different ways, one of which is to visit the individuals at a veteran’s medical center in California and help them out by visiting with them or doing something else that benefits them. Or they can also go to something like military housing in Los Angeles and do the same kind of thing.
